Leveraging over 40 years of deep expertise and innovation in power systems and power electronics, NR Electric has developed the NR-ISGrid ideal synchronous power source grid-forming solution. This solution exhibits full-process voltage source characteristics and delivers natural, zero-delay response capability. It can independently establish a 100% pure renewable energy power system while seamlessly integrating into existing conventional power systems and cooperating harmoniously with other power sources. This supports the smooth transition of traditional power systems to new power systems.
Technical Forum: In-Depth Analysis of NR-ISGrid Grid-Forming Technology and Its Global Applications
At the summit's technical forum, NR Electric delivered a keynote presentation titled “NR-ISGrid Grid-forming Technology and Applications”.
As the penetration rate of renewable energy sources continues to rise, power systems are gradually evolving from traditional “mechanical-electromagnetic-grid” coupling to “energy-power conversion-grid” coupling dominated by power electronic converters. The decline in grid strength and inertia has introduced entirely new stability challenges. To address these industry pain points, NR Electric has deeply involved in developing application guidelines and standards for grid-forming energy storage systems application.
NR-ISGrid has achieved large-scale commercialization and engineering implementation worldwide. To date, NR Electric has participated in over 150 grid-forming projects, with the application scale of grid-forming PCS exceeding 19GW. It stands as the only enterprise in the entire industry to have passed both the 100MW grid-forming energy storage black start test and the off-grid short-circuit test.
