Recently, Hainan Wanning 9F 460MW heavy duty gas turbine unit 1 successfully completed 168 hour trial operation and was officially put into operation.
NR has provided complete sets of core protection & control equipment such as SFC variable frequency starting system, excitation system and generator transformer unit protection system for the project, so as to comprehensively protect the startup, operation and safety of the unit.
The successful operation of the project marks that NR's secondary integrated complete set design, integrated supply and project implementation ability continue to lead the development in the gas turbine field and set an industrial benchmark.
The Datang Wanning gas power plant project can solve the problem of lack of power supply in the eastern and northern parts of Hainan and the free trade port area.
NR PCS-9575U variable frequency starting system provides reliable power for rapid start of gas turbine. PCS-9400 excitation system provides accurate control for stable operation of the unit, PCS-985 generator transformer unit protection system provides effective guarantee for safe operation of the unit.
The complete set of core protection & control equipment has passed strict on site tests, with stable operation and superior indicators, which has been highly praised by end users.
Under the background of the national policy of "emission peak and carbon neutrality", the development of renewable energy will become a trend. However, the power generation capacity of renewable energy such as wind and PV is greatly affected by the environment and climate, as the load fluctuates greatly. Therefore, gas-fired power generation will give further play to the advantages of high cleanliness, flexibility and fast start-up, frequency modulation and peak shaving, which is an indispensable part of the development of power grid in the future.
