MUX-2M/64 Communication Interface

  • The MUX-2M/64 communication interface is a communication interface between tele-protection devices and digital communication multiplexers. The tele-protection devices include PCS-902 line distance protection, PCS-931 line differential protection and power stability control devices.

    The communication between MUX and protection relays utilizes single mode optical fiber. MUX-2M is connected to the 2M bit/s interface of SDH multiplexer based on ITU-G.703 via a dedicated coaxial cable. MUX 64 is connected to the 64kbit/s co-directional interface of Pulse-Code Modulation (PCM) digital communication device based on ITU-G.703 via twisted- wire.
