VSC-HVDC Transmission
Compared to LCC-HVDC transmission, VSC-HVDC transmission has no limitation in minimum short circuit capacity, and thus it can be used in grid interconnection or directly connected to weak grids, such as power supply to island, city center infeed and decoupling to urban grid.
