On August 7, 2021, PCS-8910 fast switching voltage sag control independently developed by NR was officially put into operation in Shandong Jingbo petrochemical. The formal commissioning of the project marks another major application of power grid voltage sag control in the industrial field. The fastest voltage stabilization time is less than 10ms, effectively reducing enterprise production accidents caused by voltage sag and improving the power supply reliability of power grid.
The voltage sag is also called as "Voltage dip" refers to the sudden drop or almost complete loss of the effective value of the power supply voltage, and then it rises to near the normal value. The phenomenon of voltage sag in the power grid can easily cause the tripping or damage of sensitive equipment such as motors and inverters, causing major economic losses and safety hazards. Shandong Jingbo petrochemical is a large-scale private chemical enterprise focusing on petrochemical industry, integrating petroleum refining and subsequent deep processing. The product production process is complex, and the requirements for stable operation of the grid voltage are high.
Relying on the technical accumulation of large-scale power grid stability control, rapid protection of power systems, and fast switching design, NR combines the actual grid structure and load distribution characteristics of Shandong Jingbo petrochemical to carry out equipment installation positions, technical parameters and protection configurations. A comprehensive system design proposed a complete solution for voltage sag control based on the combination of fast fault detection and fast switching technology, which can realize the control of the 35kV bus voltage within 10ms when the 10kV side line fails. The voltage retention rate is not less than 90%, to ensure the stable operation of the important 35kV load. Compared with the traditional governance method, this solutionhas the advantages of fast onset time, good economy, and high reliability. It can help enterprises to achieve voltage dip governance at a minimum cost. It is highly recognized by Jingbo Petrochemical and successfully implemented.
NR fast switching voltage sag comprehensive management solution covers complete sets of equipment such as dual power supply, fast switching bus voltage maintenance, and fast AC circuit breakers. It is controlled by optical fiber communication technology, which realizes the microsecond-level fast synchronization control between the fast switching and protection device, and has exceptional online detection and fault diagnosis functions.
