    The Distribution Automation System is designed with a hierarchy of architecture, containing two layers: The first layer, the master station, is mainly used for the operation of the low and middle voltage lines, devices, as well as the users of the whole distribution network and controlling power distribution. The second layer, the distribution terminal, is for conducting data acquisition, monitoring its condition, and fault detection. It also provides treatment to the middle and low voltage lines, station switch, power distribution transformer and capacitor of the distribution network.

Fault Detection

PCS-9721A/B can detect a failed feeder to provide timely data for fault analysis on a master station. It will also perform a fault isolation in combination with the master station, breakers, and load switches, which will help play a role in restoring the distribution network, both reliably and swiftly.

Power Supply

The main power supply for the device can be both AC or DC, with two-circuit power inputs for standby support. Backup power is supplied by battery. Once the AC power supply is shut off, the device will automatically switch to battery without any disturbance. Once the AC power supply is powered back on, the device will automatically switch to AC power supply mode.

During all power supply switching processes, the device will continue its normal operation. It is also provided with battery activation and maintenance, and the function can be manually engaged in a local or remote place.
